The award
Do you know someone who is a rising star in sports governance? Someone who early in their career is making a significant contribution to governance in their organisation or in the sport and physical activity sector?
These are the people who are proactive in embracing new challenges, who show imagination and energy, and who are resilient in the face of adversity. The ones who help and support colleagues and who are unafraid to learn from their mistakes.
Judging criteria
The judges are looking for nominees who demonstrate the above qualities and more, who make a positive impact in the organisations for which they work, and even beyond. They are looking for evidence of why nominees are showing the attributes to make an impression on the sector's governance, who can be an asset to the sector for years to come and why in particular this is the year they should win an award.
How to nominate
Nominations are invited from or on behalf of all individuals in the SGA community during the nomination window.
The judges' decision will be made on the basis of responses submitted in the online nomination form.
Winner were announced at the SGA Annual Conference on 13 November 2024.
