Sports Governance Project of the Year

The award

Are you aware of an outstanding sports governance project that has made a significant impact? This award recognises projects that have demonstrated positive change in the governance space within the sports and physical activity sector.

This category is open to governance projects large and small that have made a significant impact. This could range from a complete overhaul of organisational governance to a targeted project that greatly met the needs of the organisation and had a transformative effect.

Judging criteria

The judges will look for those who can demonstrate evidence of a project that has made achieved the significant impact mentioned above. This might be over an extended period of time, but they will be particularly interested in projects which have made great headway in the last year.

How to nominate

Nominations are invited from or on behalf of all projects in the SGA community during the nomination window. 

The judges' decision will be made on the basis of responses submitted in the online nomination form.

The shortlist will be published w/c 21 October. Winners will be announced at the SGA Annual Conference on 13 November 2024.
