Swim England

Swim England has introduced a governance standard for county associations, based on the Code for Sports Governance Tier 1 requirements with additional information required focused on workforce and standards. The code sets out a level of transparency, diversity and inclusion, accountability and integrity that must be achieved and a bespoke online portal was created for counties to submit evidence.

Swim England has also developed a governance code for its Regions. Based again on the Code for Sports Governance, the regional code is comprised of six areas of compliance. An online platform for uploading information and individual support for each region has been provided to facilitate the embedding of the code.
