Darren Bernstein
Meet Darren Bernstein, Course Leader and Lecturer in Football Business at UCFB Manchester as well as Director of British Orienteering Federation and an elected Director of Bury Football Club.
Darren Bernstein is currently Course Leader and Lecturer in Football Business at UCFB Manchester. In addition, he holds positions as Senior Independent Non-Executive Director of British Orienteering Federation and is an elected Director of Bury Football Club. Darren is currently studying for a Professional Doctorate at Leeds Beckett University exploring the effectiveness of governance structures on National Governing Bodies, working closely with British Wrestling Association as a case study.
With over 20 year’s experience in the sports industry, Darren has held positions in a number of governing bodies, including The Football Association working in various roles in the grassroots football division, The English Football League as Customer Services Manager, and Football Association of Ireland as a marketing executive. Outside of football, he was Marketing and Communications Director at England Squash.
