Samantha Livesey

Samantha is the Head of Commercial at law firm Pinsent Masons. She advises on complex IT, technology, intellectual property and commercial contract matters with a specific focus on the Sport and Retail & Consumer sectors. She is a highly experienced, solutions-based lawyer with an approachable, can-do attitude who consistently delivers maximum value to clients.  

Samantha's expertise includes advising on AI and technology procurements, SaaS licensing, cloud contracting, digital transitions, app development contracts, collaboration agreements, sponsorship contracts, brand licensing and influencer agreements. She is listed in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame for both IT law and IP Law, and in 2023 won the prestigious Legal 500 Northern Powerhouse Lawyer of the Year Award.  

Samantha is also a keen sportswoman and competes her 3 sports horses on the national British Showjumping circuit. Previously a member of British Equestrian’s anti-doping panel, Samantha has just completed 2 terms as a Non-Executive Director at British Showjumping, the final 3 years of which she acted as the Senior Independent NED.
