For thirty years, Toby has delivered commercial success through sustainability and environmental leadership. His first venture was in 1989 when Toby set up his "green" office supplies distribution business using reverse logistics to add value by back loading recycling.  By 2011 the company was described by The Sunday Times as the second greenest company in the UK; an accolade reflecting the company's influence along the whole value chain. Other awards, including the Queen’s Award, followed.

Meet the speakers

Toby’s most recent role was Chief Executive of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment, the membership body for 17,000 environmental and sustainability professionals.

Toby has been involved with BASIS for ten years and is currently the Executive Director responsible for Partnerships.

He has Masters degrees in Environment and Sustainability, and Logistics and Supply Chain Management, is a Fellow of the RSA and a Fellow of IEMA.
