Relevant legislation and ensuring compliance
This section covers some of the general legal requirements for sports organisations with which your organisation may be required to demonstrate compliance. This ranges from the laws governing companies and charities to legislation covering discrimination and equality, as well as data protection and other relevant legal requirements.
Even if you are not specifically required to comply, much of the legislation, if adhered to in your organisation, can help improve the governance and management of your sport so it is a good idea for all sports organisations to be familiar with this section and to gradually build their knowledge and capacity for learning about legislation and legislative changes.
